TIGHT END STRATEGY IN DYNASTY
Tight end scarcity matters, but only when the player creates a real weekly advantage.
Dynalyze's tight end rule is to avoid overpaying for marginal upgrades unless the roster is clearly contending and the upgrade changes lineup strength.
The elite TE advantage
A true difference-maker at tight end can separate a lineup because the replacement level is low. That is the scarcity worth paying for. The trap is paying like an elite advantage exists when the player is only a small tier bump.
Strategy by window
- Contenders can buy a tight end if he changes weekly scoring or playoff reliability.
- Ascending teams should avoid forcing the position unless the target fits the long-term core.
- Retoolers can use cheap options and wait for a clean tier-up opportunity.
- Rebuilders should not pay for aging production unless it can be flipped later.
TE premium changes the math
TE premium scoring makes target volume more important. Move elite and high-volume players up, but do not blindly chase touchdown-only profiles.

Pay for true scarcity, not position anxiety. If the tight end does not change your lineup advantage, keep the asset flexible.
The right tight end trade should be easy to explain in lineup terms. If the upgrade is mostly cosmetic, the same pick or player may be more useful as a future trade chip or as part of a larger package.
